May Research Updates
Office of Research announces another study
Avery Jackson, MD, serves as principal investigator of an
observational study on a medication often used in surgery to slow down
bleeding. It is believed that Thrombin-JMIŽ works at the site of surgical
bleeding, but does not affect a person's overall bleeding or clotting levels.
Those enrolled in the study receive four study visits over an eight-week
period.
